CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. No Purchase Necessary. TO ENTER: Entrants for GRAND PRIZE must be 18 years of age or older. Contest is only open to residents of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario. Contest Commences 8:00 AM (ET) on January 1st, 2008 through to 11:59 PM (ET) on September 4th, 2008 (the "Promotional Period"), there are two (2) ways to enter the contest:
i. Purchase, receive or renew and activate a RCGA Golf Card at www.rcga.org, at a participating Golf Course, participating Wal-Mart, Golf Town, Canadian Tire Stores or through one of our corporate partner or charity promotions and upon activation of your card you will be automatically entered. Entries for the Grand Prize must be received on or before 11:59 PM (ET) on September 4th, 2008 (the "Contest Closing Date").
ii. To enter by mail, complete contest ballot form or print your RCGA membership number, full name, complete address including postal code, date of birth, daytime telephone number including area code on a plain piece of paper and mail to: "RCGA – Ireland Golf Vacation", 1333 Dorval Drive, Suite 1, Oakville, ON L6M 4X7. Limit of one (1) mail-in entry per membership number will be accepted. Entries for the Grand Prize must be received on or before 11:59 PM (ET) on the Contest Closing Date. Entries must contain sufficient postage.
2. GRAND PRIZE: There will be three (3) Grand Prize available to be won consisting of (1) 6 night luxury golf vacation for two in Ireland. Grand Prize includes: return airfare, daily car rental, 3/4* (twin share) accommodation, full Irish breakfast, 5 rounds of golf at some of Ireland’s finest courses and a customized itinerary including recommended scenic highlights of Ireland. Additional charges for cart rental, club rental and driving range are not included. Total approximate retail value of Grand Prize is $7,000.00 CDN. The Grand Prize must be accepted as awarded without substitution and is not transferable, not for resale and has no cash surrender value. The Grand Prize may not be exactly as shown. The Royal Canadian Golf Association, itravel2000 and Tourism Ireland reserve the right, in the event that the Grand Prize or any component of the Grand Prize cannot be awarded as described for any reason, to substitute another Grand Prize or component of a Grand Prize of equal or greater value, without liability.
Travel and/or vacation trip must be booked at least 60 days in advance of desired travel dates through participating Sponsors as identified to the winners, failing which the prize will be forfeited. Unless otherwise stated above, trip must be taken prior to Sept 30, 2009. Winner and travel companion are responsible for airline surcharges, taxes, transfers, travel insurance, spending money, tips and other travel and hotel charges not specifically mentioned. Winner and travel companion are solely responsible for obtaining their own travel documents (such as passport or travel visa) in advance of departure dates. Contest sponsors and suppliers are not responsible in the event a winner and/or travel companion are refused entry to destination or re-entry to Canada for whatever reason, and any unused portion of the prize will be forfeit. Winner and travel companion must travel together. If the selected winner of the Grand Prize is under the age of majority in their province of residence, the prize must be accepted by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf and comply with the contest rules and the minor must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian on the trip OR obtain parental consent to travel without a parent or legal guardian.
3. DRAWING: A random draw for the Grand Prize will be held on September 5, 2008 at approximately 5:00 pm (ET) in Oakville, Ontario from among all eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date. Odds of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date. The selected entrant will be contacted by mail or telephone or email within 10 days of the draw date. If for any reason the selected entrant cannot be contacted within 10 days of the draw date, his/her entry will be disqualified and another entrant will be randomly selected until such a time as contact can be made with a selected entrant or until such a time as there are no remaining entries. If the selected winner of the Grand Prize is under the age of majority in their province of residence, the prize must be accepted by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf and comply with the contest rules and the minor must be accompanied by the parent or legal guardian on the trip OR obtain parental consent to travel without a parent or legal guardian.
The selected entrants will be required to sign a standard declaration and release form confirming compliance with the contest rules, acceptance of the prize as awarded and releasing the contest suppliers from all liability. If the selected entrant is a minor, a parent or legal guardian will be required to act on their behalf with regards to answering the mathematical skill-testing question, signing of the Declaration and Release Form and acceptance of the prize as awarded.
4. ELIGIBILITY: To enter and be eligible to win, a person must be a resident of Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta or British Columbia who is not an employee of the Sponsors, their affiliated companies, advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest organization or a member of any such employee's immediate family (regardless of where they live) or with persons whom they are domiciled (whether related to the employee or not). In these Official Rules, "immediate family" includes mother, father, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters or spouse.
5. GENERAL: By entering the contest, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules, and the decisions of the independent contest organization with respect to all aspects of the contest, which are final.
6. Before being declared a winner, the selected entrant(s) must first correctly answer without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, a time limited mathematical skill-testing question posed by mail or telephone within 10 business days of the draw. The selected entrant will be required to sign a Declaration and Release form confirming compliance with the contest rules, acceptance of the Grand Prize as awarded, without substitution, and releasing the Sponsors, their affiliated and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent contest organization and their respective shareholders, directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releasees") from any liability in connection with the Grand Prize or this contest. If the selected entrant is a minor in the province or territory in which they reside, a parent or legal guardian will be required to act on their behalf with regards to answering the mathematical skill-testing question, signing of the Declaration and Release Form and acceptance of the prize as awarded. The form must be returned within the time period specified on the documents or the Grand Prize may be forfeited. The Grand Prize will be awarded and sent to the winner within 30 days of receipt of signed Declaration and Release form to the address indicated on the form.
7. The Sponsors accept no responsibility for loss, damage or claims caused by or resulting from the contest or the awarding of the Grand Prize associated with this contest. By entering, the winner consents to the use of their name, address (city and province) and/or photograph without further remuneration, in connection with any publicity carried out by or on behalf of the Sponsors with respect to this contest.
8. The Sponsors will not be responsible for late, lost, illegible, falsified, incomplete or destroyed entries and all such entries are void. The Sponsors do not assume any responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information, technical malfunctions, human or technical error, printing errors, lost, delayed or garbled data or transmissions, omission, interruption, deletion, defect or failures of any telephone or computer lines or networks, computer equipment, software or any combination thereof. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void.
9. The Sponsors reserve the right to amend this contest at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or infection by computer virus, the Sponsors reserve the right to cancel the online portion of the contest and conduct the draw from all previously received eligible online entries and all mail-in entries received on or before the Contest Closing Date. The Sponsors shall not be held responsible for any problems, errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the contest including but not limited, to any damage to an entrant's computer equipment, system, software or any combination thereof, as a result of the entrant's participation in this contest.
10. All entries become the permanent property of the Sponsors and none will be returned. No correspondence will be entered into except with the selected entrant. This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws.
11. The Sponsors respects your right to privacy. Use of information collected within the context of the contest is governed by our Privacy Policies.
